Cattle Prices Soften But Should Recover Later In The Year

Feeder cattle prices softened some over the last month as a large number of cattle were placed in the feedlots. Prices are expected to strengthen over last year prices by the fall as beef supplies will be noticeably lower than in late 1998. (John McKissick)
