Milk Prices Near Record.  In 1998, a record high Basic Formula Price was set in December.  With a strong economy spurring the demand for dairy products and the continuing heat in many parts of the country holding milk production down, a new may be set in 1999.  Cheese prices are rapidly increasing and indicated that a new record high BFP could be set in September or October.  At a minimum, Producers will see $17.00 BFPs in those tow months.  Under the revised Federal order pricing system, these prices will be reflected in October and November fluid milk prices.  (Bill Thomas)
