Corn Market Situation. December corn futures have been very volatile as traders look at the weather and crop size predictions. The good news is that prices have moved up nearly 40 cents since the July 12th lows. There are gaps in the daily December charts below current prices and filling them may act as magnets for harvest pressure. Until there is agreement on crop size look for prices to continue to move erratically. The reality is that unless there is a major threat to the crop, we have plenty of corn and prices will remain below $2.50.
